Steve Carl Brown
Honored In 2021
Steve Carl Brown, a JHS 1970 graduate, has been named a Jacksonville Education Foundation Influential Indian. He was nominated by former Plano Mayor Pro Tem Pat Minor and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Angela Minor, and the Citi Salutes Network of Dallas. Steve is a third-generation lumberman that has been an award-winning industry leader and innovator in home construction and green energy. His work with the City of Plano was instrumental in providing energy efficient affordable housing community for veterans, police officers and teachers. Steve’s compassion for helping others learn about zero energy and energy efficiency influenced the members of Citi Salutes Network to nominate him for this honor. Steve actively serves on several boards for nonprofits along with being the founder and president of Carl Franklin Homes, LC, and president of Green Extreme Homes.
